CUBISM OF 'Cézanne' TO RECORD CUBISM II (1907-1909)

Georges Braque, Grand Nu, Spring 1908, 140 X 100, collection Special
At that time I was very much linked to Picasso. Despite our very different temperaments, we were guided by a common idea. It was clearly seen later, Picasso is English, I'm French, you know all the differences that this entails, but during those years the differences did not count ... We lived in Montmartre, we saw every day, we were talking about ... We thought with Picasso during those years things that no one will say more, things that no longer can say that nobody could understand more ... things that were incomprehensible and that gave us so much joy ... and this is over with us.
was a bit like the rope in the mountains ... We worked both very much ... The museum does intéraissaient more. We went to see exhibitions, but not as much as people think. We were especially highly concentrated.
